NEW For 2008: Standard FLEXIBLE FUEL VEHICLE (FFV)

The #1 Police interceptor sedan continues its commitment to lead the industry
in innovation by offering E85 capability for the 2008 model year. Crown Victoria
Police Interceptor (CVPI ) now comes standard with a V8 powerplant that's
designed to run on E85 (a blend of up to 85% ethanol and 15% gasoline), regular
gasoline, or a combination of the two. Onboard sensors and computers monitor
the fuel mixture to optimize performance. You can optionally equip this FFV with
50 state emissions technology.

The Crown Victoria Police Interceptor FFV can also add flexibility to your total fleet
purchasing requirements: By purchasing the CVPI FFV for your force, you can
actually earn EPA ct credits, allowing you greater flexibility when choosing
vehicles for the remainder of your fleet.

Ford Crown Victoria Police Car is the only police pursuit sedan on the market
designed to meet 75 mph rear end crash tests without a fuel tank puncture. Ford is
also the only vehicle manufacturer to publish results for a 75 mph test

The optional Fire Suppression System is another automotive industry first that
helps reduce the risk of injury in high speed, high energy rear impacts by deploying
fire suppressing chemicals – released when the vehicle is coming to a stop, as
indicated by data from the ABS wheel-speed sensors.
